Event/ Food: Malaysia International Gourmet Festival 2014 Media Launch

Who doesn't love food? We've all heard of food festivals all over the world but did you know we have our very own GOURMET Food Festival in Malaysia too? On Friday 12th September 2014, the 14th Malaysia International Gourmet Festival was launched officially at Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall.

It was officiated by YAM Tunku Laxamana Negeri Sembilan, Tunku Naquiyudding Tuanku Ja'afar, who is also the Royal Patron of MIGF. The event started with a speech by the Organising Chairman, Dato' Steve Day before the screening of the MIGF TV commercial followed by a runway entrace by the chefs with the theme "Red Hot Chefs!" This was then followed by the "Revealing of the Festival Billboard".

Throughout the event, you could see curious shoppers trying to get a look at the excitement. The event was also attended by Festival Advisory Committee members, restaurant owners, members of the media and online food writers.

Next, the event was followed by the "Review of the Festival Dishes".

The media launch then concluded with a Q&A session with the Organising Chairman, Royal Patron and Festival Sponsor - Ministry of Tourism & Culture.

We were then treated to lunch at ThirtyTwo Bistro & Bar at Oasis Boulevard, Sunway Pyramid. First time having beer in the afternoon HAHA. Too bad I didn't get to eat all the food because there was another event that I had to rush off to.
